Fundamentals of Electronics: LEDs (LED w/ Current Limiting Resistor)

This is a supplemental video to our page titled "Fundamentals of Electronics: LEDs". This video is meant to demonstrate what happens to an LED when there is a current limiting resistor placed in the LED circuit. If you were to connect an LED straight to a power source, such as a battery, with no current limiting resistor in the circuit path, then the LED would try to dissipate as much power as it could causing it to burst in a quick flash and burn out — destroying the LED.
