Hello, this is Dustin from Mopbots. What
0:02
you see in front of you is Mbots's new
0:05
upcoming project. It is a 555
0:09
temperature controlled fan controller. I
0:12
have a 12volt supply coming into the
0:16
and I am taking a measurement at what
0:19
I'm calling the sensor node and at the
0:22
sensor node is this thermister. Right
0:24
now, you can see that I'm getting a
0:26
reading of about 7.7 volts around that
0:30
at that sensor node. And what I'm going
0:34
to do is I'm going to add heat to this
0:37
And we'll watch the voltage and we'll
0:41
see it gradually drop. And at about 4
0:44
volts or so, the fan will kick on. I'll
0:47
remove the heat, allowing the fan to
0:49
cool the thermister. And we'll watch the
0:53
voltage again gradually rise. And at
0:57
around 7.8 volts, we should see the fan
1:00
kick off. So, let me add the heat.
1:04
I have a heat gun here adding heat to
1:06
the thermister. We're seeing the voltage
1:09
drop and the fan kicks on at around 4
1:12
volts. I'm removing the heat. The fan is
1:15
still on cooling the thermister.
1:18
And at about 7.8 8 volts. We should see
1:40
And the fan has turned off. Cooling the
1:44
sensor node enough to turn it off.
